People aren’t fair when they present cases in court. They aren’t honest when they state their case. They depend on weak arguments. They tell lies. They plan to make trouble. Then they carry it out.

无一人按公义告状，无一人凭诚实辨白；都倚靠虚妄，说谎言。所怀的是毒害；所生的是罪孽。

无人按公义控诉，也无人凭诚实辩白；却倚靠虚妄，口说谎言，怀毒害，生罪孽。

无人按公义控诉，也无人凭诚实辩白；却倚靠虚妄，口说谎言，怀毒害，生罪孽。

无人按公义诉讼，无人凭诚实申辩。你们依靠诡辩，口出谎言，心怀鬼胎，生出罪恶。

没有人以公义申诉，没有人以信实申辩；人人都依靠虚无，说话虚妄，怀上祸患，生下邪恶；

人喜涉訟、不懷公義、不尚真實、譸張為幻、藏於中者詭譎、行於外者邪慝。

其中無一人秉公而控、無一人據實而辨、俱恃虛浮、悉言詭譎、所懷者殘害、所生者邪慝、

No one calls for justice; no one pleads a case with integrity. They rely on empty arguments, they utter lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil.

No one enters suit justly; no one goes to law honestly; they rely on empty pleas, they speak lies, they conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.

No one cares about being fair and honest. The people’s lawsuits are based on lies. They conceive evil deeds and then give birth to sin.

No one makes claims justly; no one pleads honestly. They trust in empty and worthless words; they conceive trouble and give birth to iniquity.

No one sues righteously and no one pleads honestly. They trust in confusion and speak lies; They conceive trouble and give birth to disaster.

No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.

None sueth in righteousness, and none pleadeth in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

No one makes claims justly; no one pleads honestly. They trust in empty and worthless words; they conceive trouble and give birth to iniquity.

None calleth for justice, nor[ any] pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

No one is concerned about justice; no one sets forth his case truthfully. They depend on false words and tell lies; they conceive of oppression and give birth to sin.

No one sues in righteousness, and no one pleads in truth. They trust in vanity, and speak lies. They conceive mischief, and give birth to iniquity.

Instead of having children, ungodly people create suffering. All they produce is evil. They are full of lies.”

Faithful people have disappeared from the land. Those who are honest are gone. Everyone hides and waits to spill the blood of others. They use nets to try and trap one another.They are very good at doing what is evil. Rulers require gifts. Judges accept money from people who want special favors. Those who are powerful always get what they want. All of them make evil plans together.The best of these people are as harmful as thorns. The most honest of them are even worse. God has come to punish you. The time your prophets warned you about has come. Panic has taken hold of you.Don’t trust your neighbors. Don’t put your faith in your friends. Be careful what you say even to your own wife.

When these desires are allowed to remain, they lead to sin. And when sin is allowed to remain and grow, it leads to death.

So the Holy One of Israel speaks. He says,“ You have turned your backs on what I have said. You have depended on telling people lies. You have crushed others.

Do not trust in lies. Do not say,‘ This is the temple of the Lord! This is the temple of the Lord! This is the temple of the Lord!’

But look! You are trusting in worthless lies.

Don’t trust in money you have taken from others. Don’t put false hope in things you have stolen. Even if your riches grow, don’t put your trust in them.

Sinners can’t rest until they do what is evil. They can’t sleep until they make someone sin.

The Lord says,“ Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem. Look around. Think about what you see. Search through the market. See if you can find one honest person who tries to be truthful. If you can, I will forgive this city.

How terrible it will be for those who plan to harm others! How terrible for those who make evil plans before they even get out of bed! As soon as daylight comes, they carry out their plans. That’s because they have the power to do it.

Surely my enemies only want to pull me down from my place of honor. They take delight in telling lies. They bless me with what they say. But in their hearts they ask for bad things to happen to me.

Your hands and fingers are stained with blood. You are guilty of committing murder. Your mouth has told lies. Your tongue says evil things.

He sees that there is no one who helps his people. He is shocked that no one stands up for them. So he will use his own powerful arm to save them. He has the strength to do it because he is holy.

Don’t let them fool themselves by trusting in what is worthless. They won’t get anything out of it.

I thought,“ The people of Jerusalem are foolish. They don’t know how the Lord wants them to live. They don’t know what their God requires of them.So I will go to the leaders. I’ll speak to them. They should know how the Lord wants them to live. They must know what their God requires of them.” But all of them had broken off the yoke the Lord had put on them. They had torn off the ropes he had tied them up with.

He has prepared his deadly weapons. He has made his flaming arrows ready.Whoever is full of evil plans trouble and ends up telling lies.

The people of the land get rich by cheating others. They steal. They crush those who are poor and in need. They treat outsiders badly. They refuse to be fair to them.“ I looked for someone among them who would stand up for Jerusalem. I tried to find someone who would pray to me for the land. Then I would not have to destroy it. But I could not find anyone who would pray for it.So I will pour out my anger on its people. I will destroy them because of my great anger against them. And anything that happens to them will be their own fault,” announces the Lord and King.

We’ve refused to obey the Lord. We’ve made evil plans against him. We’ve turned our backs on our God. We’ve stirred up conflict and refused to follow him. We’ve told lies that came from our own minds.So people stop others from doing what is fair. They keep them from doing what is right. No one tells the truth in court anymore. No one is honest there.
