他的臣仆用车将他的尸首从米吉多送到耶路撒冷，葬在他自己的坟墓里。国民膏约西亚的儿子约哈斯接续他父亲作王。约哈斯登基的时候年二十三岁，在耶路撒冷作王三个月。他母亲名叫哈慕他，是立拿人耶利米的女儿。约哈斯行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，效法他列祖一切所行的。法老尼哥将约哈斯锁禁在哈马地的利比拉，不许他在耶路撒冷作王，又罚犹大国银子一百他连得，金子一他连得。法老尼哥立约西亚的儿子以利亚敬接续他父亲约西亚作王，给他改名叫约雅敬，却将约哈斯带到埃及，他就死在那里。

所以，耶和华论到犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬如此说：“人必不为他举哀说：‘哀哉！我的哥哥’；或说：‘哀哉！我的姐姐’；也不为他举哀说：‘哀哉！我的主’；或说：‘哀哉！我主的荣华。’

弓箭手射中约西亚王。王对他的臣仆说：“我受了重伤，你拉我出阵吧！”他的臣仆扶他下了战车，上了次车，送他到耶路撒冷，他就死了，葬在他列祖的坟墓里。犹大人和耶路撒冷人都为他悲哀。耶利米为约西亚作哀歌。所有歌唱的男女也唱哀歌，追悼约西亚，直到今日；而且在以色列中成了定例。这歌载在哀歌书上。

我必使你平平安安地归到坟墓到你列祖那里；我要降与这地的一切灾祸，你也不至亲眼看见。’”他们就回复王去了。

在它小狮子中养大一个，成了少壮狮子，学会抓食而吃人。列国听见了就把它捉在他们的坑中，用钩子拉到埃及地去。

耶稣转身对她们说：“耶路撒冷的女子，不要为我哭，当为自己和自己的儿女哭。
