西底家王命人囚耶利米於獄之院、亦命人自炊餅者市、日取餅一方、給之食、直至城中絕糧、於是耶利米居於獄之院、

烏賽子巴拉、修葺城隅之前、附王上上或作高宮之戍樓、近囹圄、其次、巴錄子比大雅修葺、

眾遂以耶利米下於哈米勒子瑪勒家坑中、即在獄院、以繩縋之下、坑無水、惟有淤泥、耶利米遂沈入於泥中、

時耶利米尚囚於獄院、耶利米復奉主命曰、

厥後我叔之子哈拿篾至獄院、見我果如主所言、彼謂我曰、便雅憫地、亞拿突邑、我有一田、請爾購之、爾乃我族人、爾得斯田為業宜也、爾購之哉、我耶利米乃知此即主所言、

當欣喜歡樂、因在天爾之賞大也、蓋先爾諸先知、人亦曾如是窘逐之也、○

耶利米告巴錄曰、我囚於獄、不能詣主之殿、

蓋耶利米曾述預言曰、主如是云、我將付此邑於巴比倫王手、使彼取之、猶大王西底家不能脫於迦勒底人手、必付於巴比倫王手、面審詰問、面審詰問原文作其口彼此對言其目彼此相視必將西底家擄至巴比倫、居彼待我眷顧之、爾曹雖與迦勒底人戰、必不獲勝、此乃主所言、猶大王西底家遂問耶利米曰、爾何為述若是之預言、於是囚之於獄、

侍衛長尼布撒拉但、宦官長尼布沙斯班、博士長尼甲沙利薛、及巴比倫王諸侯伯、遣人提耶利米出獄院、託於沙番孫亞希甘子基大利、使攜於其家、於是耶利米居於民間、
