『那時以東必成了令人驚駭的地方；凡經過這裏的、都必因這地所受的擊傷而驚駭、而嗤笑。

以東必荒蕪、人過其地、見大災已降則為之驚異而作怨聲。

以東必為荒蕪、凡過之者、見其諸災、必驚異哂笑、

“ Edom will become an object of horror; all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff because of all its wounds.

“ People of Edom, all those who pass by you will be shocked. They will make fun of you because of all your wounds.

“ Edom also shall be an astonishment; Everyone who goes by it will be astonished And will hiss at all its plagues.

And Edom shall become an astonishment: every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.

我將使西珥山荒涼、令人駭異、往來之人、絕於其中、

緣耶和華之怒、必成荒蕪、無人居處、凡過巴比倫者、必將驚駭、因其所遭之禍、而嗤笑之、

耶和華曰、我指己而誓、波斯拉必成為可駭、可辱可詛、且為荒蕪、其屬邑永為邱墟、

巴比倫必成邱墟、野犬之穴、為人駭異嗤笑、無人居處、

此室雖高、凡過之者、必駭異而嗤笑曰、耶和華曷如是待此地此室乎、

其地成為怪異、被人嗤笑、凡過之者、必駭異而搖首、

蓋尚有守暗利之例、從亞哈家所為者、而爾遵循其謀、我必使爾寂寞、斯土居民、為人嗤笑、我民之辱、爾必任之、

我必自我所賜之地、拔其根株、棄此為我名區別為聖之室、而不之顧、使於列國中、作諺語、為話柄、此室雖高、凡過之者、必駭異曰、耶和華曷如是待此地此室乎、

以東諸溪變為瀝青、土壤化為硫磺、其地成為已燃之瀝青、晝夜不熄、恆久煙騰、歷代荒蕪、無人經過、迄於永世、鵜鶘毛蝟居之、鴟鴞烏鴉棲之、耶和華將於其上、施以混沌之繩、空曠之準、召其顯者嗣國、而乏其人、牧伯歸於無有、荊榛生於宮闕、蒺藜枳棘殖於堅城、為野犬之穴、鴕鳥之苑、野獸與豺狼相遇、野羊呼其同儕、魑魅據為憩所、箭蛇穴之、涵淹卵育、聚子腹下、鷙鳥羣集、雌雄匹配、

爾因以色列族之業荒涼而喜、我必依爾所行而報爾、西珥山乎、爾及以東全地、必皆荒涼、則知我乃耶和華、

凡過之者、向爾鼓掌兮、嗤笑耶路撒冷女、而搖首兮、咸曰人所稱為完美、全地所喜悅者、即此邑乎、維爾諸敵、厥口孔張兮、嗤笑而切齒曰、吾儕吞滅之兮、我所望者、誠是日也、亦既覯止、亦既見止兮、

此乃歡樂之邑、安居無慮、其心自謂惟我而已、我外無他、今奚荒寂、成為獸臥之所、凡經過者、必搖手而嗤笑之、

故我必伸手於以東、絕其人畜、使之荒涼、自提幔至於底但、其人俱隕於刃、
