七月十七日，方舟停在亚拉腊山上。

你们要在万国中传扬，宣告，竖立大旗；要宣告，不可隐瞒，说：“巴比伦被攻取，彼勒蒙羞，米罗达惊惶。巴比伦的神像都蒙羞，它的偶像都惊惶。”

因为必有许多国家和大君王使迦勒底人作奴仆；我也必照他们的行为，按他们手所做的报应他们。”

你们要竖立大旗，攻击巴比伦的城墙；要坚固瞭望台，派定守望的设下埋伏；因为耶和华指着巴比伦居民所说的，他不但这样定意，也已成就。

你们要在荒凉的山上竖立大旗，向他们扬声，挥手招呼他们进入贵族之门。我吩咐我所分别为圣的人，召唤我的勇士，就是我那狂喜高傲的人，为要执行我的怒气。听啊，山间有喧闹的声音，好像有许多百姓聚集，听啊，多国之民聚集闹哄的声音；这是万军之耶和华召集作战的军队。他们从远方来，从天边来，耶和华和他恼恨的兵器要毁灭全地。

歌篾的儿子是亚实基拿、低法和陀迦玛。

看哪，有一民族从北方而来，有一大国和许多君王被激起，从地极来到。他们拿弓和枪，性情残忍，毫不留情；他们的声音像海浪澎湃。巴比伦啊，他们骑着马，如上战场的人摆列队伍，要攻击你。

蝗虫的形状好像预备上阵的战马一样，头上戴的好像金冠冕，脸面好像男人的脸面，头发像女人的头发，牙齿像狮子的牙齿；它们胸前有甲，好像铁甲；又有翅膀的响声，好像许多车马奔跑上阵的声音。它们有尾巴像蝎子，长着毒刺，尾巴上的毒刺有能力伤害人五个月。它们有无底坑的使者作它们的王，按着希伯来话名叫亚巴顿，希腊话名叫亚玻伦。

万军之耶和华指着自己起誓说：我必使人遍满各处像蝗虫一样，他们必呐喊攻击你。

世上所有的居民，住在地上的人哪，山上大旗竖起时，你们要看，号角吹响时，你们要听。

虽然它的树林不易穿过，敌人却要砍伐，因敌人比蝗虫还多，不可胜数。这是耶和华说的。

一日，他在他的神明尼斯洛庙里叩拜，他儿子亚得米勒和沙利色用刀杀了他，然后逃到亚拉腊地；他儿子以撒‧哈顿接续他作王。

城中若吹角，百姓岂不战兢吗？灾祸若临到一城，岂非耶和华所降的吗？

因为那些人带着他们的牲畜和帐棚上来，像蝗虫那样多；人和骆驼无数，都进入境内，毁坏全地。

便雅悯人哪，当逃离耶路撒冷，在提哥亚吹号角，在伯‧哈基琳升信号，因为有灾祸与大毁灭从北方逼近。

我要招聚万国与耶路撒冷争战；城必被攻取，房屋被抢夺，妇女被玷污，城中的一半被掳去；但其余的百姓不会从城中被剪除。

那是黑暗、阴森的日子，是密云、乌黑的日子，如同黎明笼罩山岭。有一队蝗虫，又大又强，自古以来没有像这样的，以后直到万代也必没有。它们前面有火吞噬，后面有火焰烧尽。它们未到以前，地如伊甸园，过去以后，却成了荒凉的旷野，没有一样能躲避它们。

在那里，火要吞灭你，刀必杀戮你，如蝻子般吞灭你。你人数增多如蝻子，增多如蝗虫吧！你增添商贾，多过天上的星宿；如蝻子蜕皮飞去。你的领袖多如蝗虫，你的将军仿佛成群的蝗虫；天凉时齐落在篱笆上，太阳一出就飞去，人不知道落在何处。
