I will punish Bel in Babylon and make him spew out what he has swallowed. The nations will no longer stream to him. And the wall of Babylon will fall.

I will punish the god named Bel in Babylon. I will make Bel spit out what he has swallowed. The nations will not come and worship him anymore. And Babylon’s walls will fall down.

And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and take out of his mouth what he has swallowed. The nations shall no longer flow to him; the wall of Babylon has fallen.

And I will punish Bel, the god of Babylon, and make him vomit up all he has eaten. The nations will no longer come and worship him. The wall of Babylon has fallen!

滄海之珍寶、列邦之貨財、俱歸於爾、爾見之而色怡、心動而意舒、

遣使召諸方伯、大臣牧伯、刑官庫司、議士士師、及諸州牧咸至、為尼布甲尼撒王所立之像、行敬奉之禮、於是方伯、大臣牧伯、刑官庫司、議士士師、及諸州牧咸集、為尼布甲尼撒王所立之像、行敬奉之禮、俱立於像前、

因上帝所賜之大權、諸民諸國、諸方言者、咸戰慄畏懼於其前、生殺升降、隨其所欲、

王歟、生長堅剛者爾也、爾之高大、凌乎霄漢、爾之權勢、及於地極、

世上諸王、素與行淫而奢華者、見所焚之煙、則為之哭而擗、因其痛苦而懼、則遠立曰、禍哉、禍哉、大巴比倫鞏固之邑乎、半時間爾之鞫至矣、世上諸商、亦為之哭而哀、因不復見有人購其貨也、斯貨也、若金銀、寶石、珠璣、枲布、紫料、絲帛、絳料、香松諸木、象牙諸器、及佳木銅鐵白石諸器、亦有肉桂、荳蔻、香料、香膏、乳香、酒、油、麵、麥、牛、羊、馬、車、及人之身與靈也、爾心所嗜之果已去、爾之珍饈華采皆亡、不復見之、諸商因之致富者、以其痛苦、懼而遠立、哀哭之、曰、禍哉、禍哉、大邑乎、素衣枲布紫絳、飾以金珠寶石者乎、蓋半時間、如此之巨富、成為荒墟也、各舟長與航海者及舟子、並凡恃海為業者、見所焚之煙、皆遠立、呼曰、孰若此大邑乎、又以塵蒙首哭而哀、呼曰、禍哉、禍哉、大邑乎、凡有舟於海者、自其豐厚而致富、半時間成為荒墟矣、

我今頒詔、各民各國、各方言者、凡謗沙得拉米煞亞伯尼歌之上帝、必解其體、使其室為糞場、蓋無他神能行拯救若是、

悉屬虛無、惑人之工、譴責之際、俱必滅亡、

瑪代人大利烏得其國、時年六十有二、

主以猶大王約雅敬、及上帝室之器一分、付於其手、攜器至示拿地、入於其神之廟、置於其神之庫、

時日將至、我必懲罰巴比倫之雕像、使舉國抱愧、見殺者咸仆於其中、

環之而呼、彼已投誠、其堞毀壞、其垣傾圮、斯乃耶和華復仇、爾當復仇於彼、依其所行而報之、

其解曰、彌尼者、上帝數爾國祚、使之永終也、

耶和華曰、巴比倫雖及於天、高其城垣、俾成鞏固、我必遣殘賊者臨之、

彼勒傾覆、尼波俯伏、其像負於牲畜、爾素所舁之物、成為重負、使牲畜困憊、彼皆傾覆、同俯伏、不能救其重負、己亦為人所虜、○

伯沙撒暢飲之際、命取其父尼布甲尼撒自耶路撒冷殿中、所取之金銀器皿、王及大臣后妃、以之而飲、遂取自耶路撒冷上帝殿中、所取之金器至、王及大臣后妃、以之而飲、彼眾飲酒、頌讚金銀銅鐵木石之神、

尼布甲尼撒王詔天下諸民諸國、諸方言者曰、願爾平康增益、
