歲有浮言、長者搆兵、鬥聲聞於斯土、爾勿喪膽、勿恐懼。

斯地聞凶信、此年有凶信、明年更有凶信、強暴之事、遍於斯地、暴虐者繼暴虐者、爾勿因以喪膽恐懼、

Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard in the land; one rumor comes this year, another the next, rumors of violence in the land and of ruler against ruler.

You will hear about terrible things that are happening in Babylon. But do not lose hope. Do not be afraid. You will hear one thing this year. And you will hear something else next year. You will hear about awful things in the land. You will hear about one ruler fighting against another.

Let not your heart faint, and be not fearful at the report heard in the land, when a report comes in one year and afterward a report in another year, and violence is in the land, and ruler is against ruler.

But do not panic; don’t be afraid when you hear the first rumor of approaching forces. For rumors will keep coming year by year. Violence will erupt in the land as the leaders fight against each other.

May you not become cowardly and fearful when the report is proclaimed in the land, for the report will come one year, and then another the next year. There will be violence in the land with ruler against ruler.

Now, so that your heart does not grow faint, And you are not afraid at the report that will be heard in the land— For the report will come in one year, And after that another report in another year, And violence will be in the land With ruler against ruler—

And lest your heart faint, And you fear for the rumor that will be heard in the land( A rumor will come one year, And after that, in another year A rumor will come, And violence in the land, Ruler against ruler),

And let not your heart faint, neither fear ye for the tidings that shall be heard in the land; for tidings shall come one year, and after that in another year shall come tidings, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

看吧！我必使他靈機一動，就聽見風聲，而回他本地去；我必使他在他本地那裏倒在刀下。」』

我吩咐我那些獻身軍人；我呼召了我的勇士，我那些耀武揚威的高傲者，來執行我忿怒中所要作的。聽啊！山間有大眾喧嘩的聲音呢！好像許多眾民的嘈雜；聽啊！有列國喧鬧的響聲呢！有聚攏來的列邦之鬨嚷。萬軍之永恆主在點閱着軍隊，準備着赴戰。他們從遠地而來，從天儘邊來到，就是永恆主跟他義怒的軍器、要毁滅這全轄地。

我必激動埃及人去攻擊埃及人，他們就打起仗來，各人攻打自己的族弟兄，各人攻打自己的鄰舍，城攻打城，國攻打國；

有個嚴厲冷酷的異象指示了我：那以詭詐行強暴的、還在以詭詐行強暴，那毁滅者還在行毁滅。以攔哪，上去哦！瑪代啊，圍困哦！使一切驕傲止息哦！故此我滿腰絞痛難過；劇疼將我抓住，如同產婦的劇疼一樣；我疼痛彎腰到不能聽；我驚惶失措到看不見。

在便雅憫境內、在迦巴、掃羅的守望兵在觀望着，只見非利士的蜂擁軍兵已經潰散，走來走去。掃羅就對跟隨他的兵說：『你們點閱點閱，看從我們這裏出去的是誰』；他們一點閱，就知道約拿單和拿軍器的護兵不在那裏。掃羅對亞希亞說：『將神諭像送來』；因為那一天是他在以色列人面前帶着神諭像。掃羅正和祭司說話的時候，非利士人營中的喧嚷越來越大了。掃羅就對祭司說：『停手吧。』掃羅和跟隨他的兵都聚集，到了戰場，就看見非利士人都用刀互相擊殺；其潰亂驚慌之狀大極了。

你們聽見戰爭和戰爭的風聲時，不要驚慌；這是必須有的，但還不是末終。因為外邦必起來攻打外邦；國必攻打國；許多地方必有地震，有饑荒：這些事只是災難的起頭。

這些事一開始，你們就該挺身昂首，因為你們得贖放的時候近了。』

『但你呢、我的僕人雅各啊，你不要懼怕！以色列啊，你不要驚慌！因為你看吧，我必從遠方拯救你，從你被擄之地拯救你的後裔。雅各必返回，平平靜靜，安安逸逸，無人使他驚嚇。

三百人把三百枝號角吹了起來，永恆主使各人的刀在全營中互相擊殺；他們向西利拉逃到伯哈示他，直到亞伯米何拉河邊，靠近他巴。

你們將要聽見戰爭和戰爭的風聲；小心吧，別驚慌了；因為這是必須有的；但還不是末終。因為外邦必起來攻打外邦，國必攻打國；許多地方必有饑荒和地震：這一切事卻只是災難的起頭。

你們聽見戰爭和擾亂的時候、不要恐慌。因為這些事是必須先有的；但末終還不立刻就到。』於是耶穌對他們說：『外邦必起來攻打外邦，國必攻打國；必有大地震；許多地方必有饑荒和瘟疫；又有令人恐怖的事，以及從天上來的大迹象。但在這一切事之先、人必下手拿住你們，逼迫你們，把你們送交到會堂和監牢裏；你們必為我的名被帶走到君王和統治官面前。結果終必給你們以見證的機會。所以你們心中要立得定，不必豫先思慮要怎樣分訴。因為是我要賜給你們口才和智慧，就是一切敵對你們的人所不能反對或辯駁的。你們竟要被父母、弟兄、親戚和朋友、送官；他們也必將你們中間幾個人害死；你們必為我的名被眾人恨惡。然而你們的頭髮、連一根也不能失掉。你們務要用你們的堅忍、來擁有住你們的真性命。

因為亞捫人和摩押人起來，擊殺了住西珥山的人，將他們殺滅歸神、而除滅掉：他們把西珥居民滅盡了之後，竟又彼此助長以相除滅。
