蓋有多國大王、必使其人服役、我必依其所行、及其手所作以報之、○以色列之上帝耶和華諭我曰、我手忿怒之杯、爾其取之、使我遣爾所至之國飲之、彼必飲之、搖曳顚狂、因我使鋒刃入於其中也、我則由耶和華手取杯、使其遣我所至之國飲之、即耶路撒冷、猶大諸邑、及其君王牧伯、俾邑荒蕪、令人駭異、被嗤笑、服呪詛、有如今日、又有埃及王法老、與其臣僕、牧伯庶民、雜族之人、烏斯諸王、非利士諸王、亞實基倫、迦薩、以革倫、及亞實突遺民、以東、摩押、亞捫族、推羅諸王、西頓諸王、海外島嶼諸王、底但、提瑪、布斯、及凡薙鬢者、亞拉伯諸王、與居曠野、雜族之諸王、心利諸王、以攔諸王、瑪代諸王、北方遠近諸王、爰及天下萬國、厥後、示沙克王亦飲焉、爾當告之曰、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、爾其飲之而醉、至於哇吐、顚躓而不復起、因我使鋒刃入於爾中也、

爾將對巴比倫王作歌曰、殘虐者奚絕乎、強暴者奚息乎、

我必遣召北方諸族、及我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、導之以攻斯土、與其居民、暨四周諸國、我必滅之、使之令人駭異、為人嗤笑、永久荒蕪、耶和華言之矣、
