“ They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land. They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge me,” declares the Lord.

“ They get ready to use their tongues like bows,” announces the Lord.“ Their mouths shoot out lies like arrows. They tell lies to gain power in the land. They go from one sin to another. They do not pay any attention to me.

In transgressing and lying against the Lord, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter.So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.
