爾曹各當謹防鄰里、勿信昆弟、蓋昆弟相欺特甚、鄰里往來讒毀、

“ Beware of your friends; do not trust anyone in your clan. For every one of them is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer.

Be on guard against your friends. Do not trust the members of your own family. Every one of them cheats. Every friend tells lies.

Let everyone beware of his neighbor, and put no trust in any brother, for every brother is a deceiver, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

“ Beware of your neighbor! Don’t even trust your brother! For brother takes advantage of brother, and friend slanders friend.

Everyone has to be on guard against his friend. Don’t trust any brother, for every brother will certainly deceive, and every friend spread slander.

“ Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; Because every brother utterly betrays, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

“ Everyone take heed to his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; For every brother will utterly supplant, And every neighbor will walk with slanderers.

Take ye heed every one of his neighbor, and trust ye not in any brother; for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will go about with slanders.

Everyone has to be on guard against his friend. Don’t trust any brother, for every brother will certainly deceive, and every friend spread slander.

Everyone must be on his guard around his friends. He must not even trust any of his relatives. For every one of them will find some way to cheat him. And all of his friends will tell lies about him.

不可倚賴鄰舍，不可信靠密友；甚至對躺在你懷中的妻子也要守住你的口。因為兒子藐視父親，女兒抵擋母親，媳婦抗拒婆婆，人的仇敵就是自己家裏的人。

他們極其悖逆，到處毀謗人，他們是銅是鐵，全都敗壞了。

人人向鄰舍說謊；他們說話嘴唇油滑，心口不一。願耶和華剪除一切油滑的嘴唇，誇大的舌頭。

仇敵用嘴唇掩飾，心裏卻藏着詭詐；他用甜言蜜語，你不能相信他，因為他心中有七樣可憎惡的事。

不可在百姓中到處搬弄是非，不可陷害鄰舍的性命。我是耶和華。

隱藏怨恨的，有說謊的嘴唇；口出毀謗的，是愚昧人。

那人說：「你的名字不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列，因為你與上帝和人較力，都得勝了。」

因為連你兄弟和你父家都以詭詐待你，甚至在你後邊大聲喊叫。雖然他們向你說好話，你也不要相信他們。」

以撒說：「你弟弟已經用詭計來把你的福分奪去了。」以掃說：「他名叫雅各，豈不是這樣嗎？他欺騙了我兩次：他先前奪了我長子的名分，看哪，他現在又奪了我的福分。」以掃又說：「你沒有留下給我的祝福嗎？」

他不以舌頭讒害人，不惡待朋友，也不隨夥毀謗鄰舍。

作假見證陷害鄰舍的，就是大錘，是利刀，是快箭。

「你們不要以為我來是帶給地上和平，我來並不是帶來和平，而是刀劍。因為我來是要叫『人與父親對立，女兒與母親對立，媳婦與婆婆對立。

你們要防備那些人，因為他們要把你們交給議會，也要在會堂裏鞭打你們。

不准有人在這事上越軌，佔他弟兄的便宜；因為這一類的事，主必報應，正如我預先對你們說過，又切切警告過你們的。

連你們的父母、兄弟、親族、朋友也要把你們交給官府；你們中間也將有被他們害死的。

所以，你們要除去一切的惡毒，一切詭詐、假善、嫉妒，和一切毀謗的話。要愛慕那純淨的靈奶，像初生的嬰孩愛慕奶一樣，好使你們藉着它成長，以致得救，

口吐謊言的假證人，並在弟兄間散播紛爭的人。

耶和華所恨惡的有六樣，他心所憎惡的共有七樣：

邪惡在其中，欺壓和詭詐不離街市。原來，不是仇敵辱罵我，若是仇敵，還可忍受；也不是恨我的人向我狂妄自大，若是恨我的人，我必躲避他。

你那裏有為流人血而毀謗人的，你那裏有在山上吃祭物的，在你當中也有行淫亂的，

兄弟要把兄弟、父親要把兒女置於死地；兒女要起來與父母為敵，害死他們。
