For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.

By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.And by this we know that we are of the truth, and persuade our hearts before him,because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”

Jesus therefore said to them,“ When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.

Jesus cried out and said,“ Whoever believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me.He who sees me sees him who sent me.I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.If anyone listens to my sayings, and doesn’t believe, I don’t judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.He who rejects me, and doesn’t receive my sayings, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke will judge him in the last day.For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak.”

Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying,“ You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don’t know.

I speak not by way of commandment, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity also of your love.For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.

Jesus said to him,“ If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
