He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him.He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

Turning to the disciples, he said,“ All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son desires to reveal him.”

for the words which you have given me I have given to them, and they received them, and knew for sure that I came from you. They have believed that you sent me.

I revealed your name to the people whom you have given me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me. They have kept your word.

that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.

I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

They will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me.

Jesus said to him,“ Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say,‘ Show us the Father?’Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.

I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever:the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

seeing it is God who said,“ Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who is from God. He has seen the Father.

However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you.All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”

No one has seen God at any time. The one and only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.

This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,

I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me and loved them, even as you loved me.

If I hadn’t done among them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father.

All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son desires to reveal him.
