耶穌進了聖殿，就趕走作買賣的人，對他們說：“經上記著：‘我的殿是禱告的殿’，你們竟把它弄成賊窩了。”

他們來到耶路撒冷。耶穌進了聖殿，就把殿裡作買賣的人趕走，又推倒找換銀錢的人的桌子，和賣鴿子的人的凳子；

又要把你的五穀、新酒和新油的十分之一，以及你牛群羊群中頭生的，在耶和華你的神面前吃，就是在他選擇作他名的居所的地方吃，好使你可以學習常常敬畏耶和華你的神。耶和華你的神賜福與你的時候，耶和華你的神選擇要立為他名的地方，如果離你太遠，那路又太長，使你不能把供物帶到那裡去；你就可以換成銀子，把銀子拿在手裡，到耶和華你的神選擇的地方去，你可以用這銀子隨意買牛羊、清酒和烈酒；你心想要的，都可以買；在那裡，你和你的家人，都要在耶和華你的神面前吃喝歡樂。

他又教訓眾人說：“經上不是寫著‘我的殿要稱為萬國禱告的殿’嗎？你們竟把它弄成賊窩了。”

萬軍之耶和華說：“看哪！我派我的使者，在我前面預備道路；你們所尋求的主，必忽然進入他的殿；你們所愛慕立約的使者，就要來到。”可是，他來的日子，誰能當得起呢？他顯現的時候，誰能站立得住呢？因為他像煉金之人的火，又像漂布之人的鹼。他必坐著，像熬煉和潔淨銀子的人；他必潔淨利未人，煉淨他們像煉淨金銀一樣。這樣，他們就會憑公義獻禮物給耶和華。

耶穌進了聖殿，把殿裡所有作買賣的人趕走，並推倒找換銀錢的人的桌子，和賣鴿子的人的凳子；又對他們說：“經上記著：‘我的殿要稱為禱告的殿。’你們竟把它弄成賊窩了。”
