Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it.

In fact, God doesn’t listen to their empty cries. The Mighty One doesn’t pay any attention to them.

Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.

But it is wrong to say God doesn’t listen, to say the Almighty isn’t concerned.

Indeed, God does not listen to empty cries, and the Almighty does not take note of it—

God certainly will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

Surely God will not listen to empty talk, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

Surely God will not hear an empty cry, Neither will the Almighty regard it.

耶和華遠離惡人，卻聽義人的禱告。

所以耶和華如此說：「我必使災禍臨到他們，是他們不能逃脫的。他們必向我哀求，我卻不聽。

你們舉手禱告，我必遮眼不看；就是你們多多地祈禱，我也不聽。你們的手都滿了殺人的血。

你們求也得不着，是因為你們妄求，要浪費在你們的宴樂中。

你到神的殿要謹慎腳步；因為近前聽，勝過愚昧人獻祭，他們本不知道所做的是惡。你在神面前不可冒失開口，也不可心急發言；因為神在天上，你在地下，所以你的言語要寡少。事務多，就令人做夢；言語多，就顯出愚昧。

惡人獻祭，為耶和華所憎惡；正直人祈禱，為他所喜悅。

你們禱告，不可像外邦人，用許多重複話，他們以為話多了必蒙垂聽。

你們雖然向我獻燔祭和素祭，我卻不悅納，也不顧你們用肥畜獻的平安祭；

不敬虔的人雖然得利，神奪取其命的時候還有甚麼指望呢？患難臨到他，神豈能聽他的呼求？

耶穌說：「你要甚麼呢？」她說：「願你叫我這兩個兒子在你國裏，一個坐在你右邊，一個坐在你左邊。」耶穌回答說：「你們不知道所求的是甚麼；我將要喝的杯，你們能喝嗎？」他們說：「我們能。」

主啊，我呼求你，你不應允我；我站起來，你就定睛看我。

他垂聽窮人的禱告，並不藐視他們的祈求。

他們並不誠心哀求我，乃在牀上呼號；他們為求五穀新酒聚集，仍然悖逆我。

他們必呼叫我說：我的神啊，我們以色列認識你了。以色列丟棄良善；仇敵必追逼他。

轉耳不聽律法的，他的祈禱也為可憎。

你當領受他口中的教訓，將他的言語存在心裏。你若歸向全能者，從你帳棚中遠除不義，就必得建立。要將你的珍寶丟在塵土裏，將俄斐的黃金丟在溪河石頭之間；全能者就必為你的珍寶，作你的寶銀。你就要以全能者為喜樂，向神仰起臉來。你要禱告他，他就聽你；你也要還你的願。
