As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.

But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror;for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

But he said,“ On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it.”

“ Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell— and great was its fall.”

To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin.

to those who by perseverance in well- doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life;but to those who are self- seeking, and don’t obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath, indignation,oppression, and anguish on every soul of man who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.But glory, honor, and peace go to every man who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

If you love me, keep my commandments.

Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation,

For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

coming to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious.

One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”Judas( not Iscariot) said to him,“ Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”Jesus answered him,“ If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

“ If anyone comes to me, and doesn’t disregard his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he can’t be my disciple.

Blessed are those who do his commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love.I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.“ This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.It is written in the prophets,‘ They will all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who hears from the Father and has learned, comes to me.

Other fell into the good ground, and grew, and produced one hundred times as much fruit.” As he said these things, he called out,“ He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

“ Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying,“ This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”

He answered them,“ I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t also want to become his disciples, do you?”They insulted him and said,“ You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. He who comes to me I will in no way throw out.

Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.

Yet you will not come to me, that you may have life.

Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.

Jesus said to them,“ I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will not be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Then the Jews said to him,“ Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say,‘ If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’
