This is what the Lord says: The man who trusts in mankind, who makes human flesh his strength and turns his heart from the Lord is cursed.

No, my sons, the report I hear from the Lord’s people is not good.

and if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light to those in darkness,an instructor of the ignorant, a teacher of the immature, having the full expression of knowledge and truth in the law—you then, who teach another, don’t you teach yourself? You who preach,“ You must not steal”— do you steal?You who say,“ You must not commit adultery”— do you commit adultery? You who detest idols, do you rob their temples?You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?For, as it is written: The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.

Surely the Levites who wandered away from Me when Israel went astray, and who strayed from Me after their idols, will bear the consequences of their sin.

Lord, the hope of Israel, all who abandon You will be put to shame. All who turn away from Me will be written in the dirt, for they have abandoned the Lord, the fountain of living water.

The leaders of the people mislead them, and those they mislead are swallowed up.
