“主人回答说，‘这是仇敌做的。’奴仆问道，‘要我们去拔掉它们吗？’

他回答：‘这是仇敌所作的。’仆人问他：‘你要我们去拔掉它吗？’

主人說：『這是仇敵做的。』僕人說：『你要我們去薅出來嗎？』

主人對曰：「讐人所為也。」傭曰：「吾儕即往薅之如何？」

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he replied.“ The servants asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he replied.“ The slaves asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and pull up the weeds?’

He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him,‘ Then do you want us to go and gather them?’

“‘ An enemy has done this!’ the farmer exclaimed.“‘ Should we pull out the weeds?’ they asked.

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he told them.“‘ So, do you want us to go and pull them up?’ the servants asked him.

And he said to them,‘ An enemy has done this!’ The slaves* said to him,‘ Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’

He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him,‘ Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’

And he said unto them, An enemy hath done this. And the servants say unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

“‘ An enemy did this!’ he told them.“‘ So, do you want us to go and gather them up?’ the slaves asked him.

He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

He said,‘ An enemy has done this.’ So the slaves replied,‘ Do you want us to go and gather them?’

“ He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’“ The servants asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and gather them up?’

要知道，我虽然身体不在你们那里，但灵里却在你们那里；我已经像在你们那里一样审判了做这事的人。当你们聚集，与我的灵和我们主耶稣的权能同在的时候，你们要奉我们主耶稣的名，把这样的人交给撒旦，使他的肉体毁灭，好让他的灵魂在主的日子可以得救。你们夸耀是不好的。难道你们不知道，一点点酵母能使整个面团发酵吗？你们应当把那旧的酵母除净，好使你们成为新的面团，就像你们是无酵的那样；因为实际上，我们逾越节的羔羊——基督已经被献上了。

弟兄们，我们劝你们：要劝诫懒散的人，安慰胆怯的人，扶助软弱的人，对所有的人都要恒久忍耐。

约翰回答说：“老师，我们看见一个人奉你的名驱赶鬼魔，我们就去阻止他，因为他不与我们一起跟从你。”耶稣对他说：“不要阻止他，因为不反对你们的，就是支持你们的。”耶稣升天的日子快到了，他就坚定地面向耶路撒冷而去。他派了几个使者在他前头。他们就去了，进到撒马利亚人的一个村子，要为他做预备。但那里的人不接受他，因为他是往耶路撒冷去的。门徒雅各和约翰看见了，就说：“主啊，你要我们吩咐火从天上降下来烧灭他们吗？”

这样的人，受了大多数人的那惩罚已经够了。所以，你们反而更要饶恕他、安慰他，免得他被过度的忧伤吞没了。因此，我恳求你们向他证实你们的爱。其实我也为此写了信，就是要知道你们经过考验的品德：你们是否在一切事上都顺从。你们在任何事上饶恕了谁，我也饶恕谁；实际上，我如果饶恕了什么，我所饶恕的，就是在基督面前为了你们的缘故而饶恕的，免得被撒旦占了上风，因为我们不是不明白它的意图。

有些人疑惑不定，你们要怜悯他们；有些人，你们要把他们从火里抢出来，拯救他们；有些人，你们要怀着惧怕的心怜悯他们，连他们被肉欲玷污的衣服也要恨恶。
