Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked,“ Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”

And behold, a man came up to him, saying,“ Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?”

Someone came to Jesus with this question:“ Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?”

And someone came to Him and said,“ Teacher, what good thing shall I do so that I may obtain eternal life?”

Now behold, one came and said to Him,“ Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”

And behold, one came to him and said, Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Just then someone came up and asked Him,“ Teacher, what good must I do to have eternal life?”

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Now someone came up to him and said,“ Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?”

As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him,“ Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”Jesus said to him,“ Why do you call me good? No one is good except one— God.You know the commandments:‘ Do not murder,’‘ Do not commit adultery,’‘ Do not steal,’‘ Do not give false testimony,’‘ Do not defraud,’‘ Honor your father and mother.’”He said to him,“ Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.”Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him,“ One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions.Jesus looked around, and said to his disciples,“ How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!”The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again,“ Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him,“ Then who can be saved?”Jesus, looking at them, said,“ With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”Peter began to tell him,“ Behold, we have left all, and have followed you.”Jesus said,“ Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News,but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.

that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

( and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us);

Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.

He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life.

I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Simon Peter answered him,“ Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.

that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.”They said therefore to him,“ What must we do, that we may work the works of God?”Jesus answered them,“ This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

Looking at them, Jesus said,“ With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life.

We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying,“ Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”He said to him,“ What is written in the law? How do you read it?”He answered,“ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”He said to him,“ You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”

Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.

However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.

brought them out, and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life.

Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

A certain ruler asked him, saying,“ Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”Jesus asked him,“ Why do you call me good? but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

“ You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me.

even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him.This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life.For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

in hope of eternal life, which God, who can’t lie, promised before time began;

to those who by perseverance in well- doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life;

He said to him,“ Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”He said to him,“ Which ones?” Jesus said,“‘ You shall not murder.’‘ You shall not commit adultery.’‘ You shall not steal.’‘ You shall not offer false testimony.’
