弟兄们，你们想想，你们这些蒙召的，按人（“人”或译：“世上的标准”、“世界的标准”）来看有智慧的不多，有权势的不多，出身尊贵的也不多。

耶稣怒目环视他们，因他们的心刚硬而难过，就对那人说：“伸出手来！”他把手一伸，手就复原了。

耶稣见他这样，就说：“富有的人要进神的国，是多么难哪！

耶稣对门徒说：“我实在告诉你们，有钱的人是很难进天国的。我又告诉你们，骆驼穿过针眼，比有钱的人进神的国还容易呢！”门徒听见了，十分惊奇，就问他：“这样，谁可以得救呢？”耶稣看着他们说：“在人这是不能的，在神却凡事都能。”

耶稣回答：“我实实在在告诉你，人若不是从水和圣灵生的，就不能进神的国。

“我实在告诉你们，如果你们不回转，变成像小孩子一样，一定不能进天国。

我亲爱的弟兄们，请听：神不是拣选了在世上被认为贫穷的人吗？这些人却在信心上富足，而且是承受神的国的人。这国是神应许赐给爱他的人的。

淫乱的人哪，你们不知道与世俗为友，就是与神为敌吗？所以与世俗为友的，就成了神的仇敌。

这样，你们就得着充分的装备，可以进入我们的主和救主耶稣基督永远的国。

我实在告诉你们，凡是不像小孩子一样接受神的国的，绝对不能进去。”
