倚赖自己财富的，必然衰落；义人却必繁茂，好像绿叶。

你们富有的人哪，应当为那将要临到你们的灾祸哭泣哀号。你们的财物朽坏了，你们的衣服给蛀了，你们的金银生锈，这锈要成为控告你们的铁证，又要像火一样吞吃你们的肉。你们竟然在这末后的日子积聚财宝。

你要嘱咐那些今世富有的人，叫他们不要心高气傲，也不要寄望在浮动的财富上，却要仰望那厚赐百物给我们享用的神。

“看哪！这就是那不以神为自己保障的人，他只倚靠自己丰盛的财富，以毁灭别人来加强自己的力量。”

你说：我是富足的，已经发了财，毫无缺乏。却不知你是困苦的、可怜的、贫穷的、瞎眼的、赤身的。

孩子们啊，我跟你们在一起的时候不多了。你们要寻找我，但是我对犹太人说过，现在也照样对你们说：‘我去的地方，是你们不能去的。’

你这为自己的家积聚不义之财，在高处搭窝，以逃避灾害的，有祸了！

你靠着自己的智慧和聪明，为自己得了财富，把所得的金银放进自己的府库里。你靠着自己在贸易上的大智慧，增添你的财富，你又因自己的财富心里高傲。

你的眼睛注视在钱财上，钱财却不见了，因为钱财必长起翅膀，如鹰飞往天上。

耶和华这样说：“智慧人不可夸耀自己的智慧，勇士不可夸耀自己的勇力，财主不可夸耀自己的财富。

贪财的法利赛人听见这些话，就嗤笑耶稣。

耶稣对他们说：“孩子们，打到鱼没有？”他们回答：“没有。”

门徒听见了，十分惊奇，就问他：“这样，谁可以得救呢？”

就对他们讲了一个比喻，说：“有一个富翁的田地丰收。他自己心里说：‘怎么办呢？因为我没有足够的地方收藏出产了！’又说：‘我要这样办：我要拆掉这些仓房，建造更大的，好在那里收藏我的一切粮食和货物。然后，我要对我的灵魂说：灵魂啊，你拥有许多好东西，足够多年享用，只管安安逸逸地吃喝快乐吧！’神却对他说：‘无知的人哪，今天晚上，你的灵魂必被取去，你所预备的要归给谁呢？’凡为自己积财，在神面前却不富足的，也是这样。”

在耶和华发怒的日子，他们的金银也不能救他们，全地都要被他的妒火吞灭；因为他要彻底毁灭地上所有的居民，真是可怕的毁灭。

孩子们，你们是属于神的，并且已经胜过他们，因为那在你们里面的比那在世上的更大。

听见的人说：“这样，谁可以得救呢？”耶稣说：“人所不能的，在神却是可能的。”

不要倚靠藉强暴得来的财物，也不要妄想倚靠抢夺回来的钱财；如果财宝加增，你的心也不要倚靠它。

富翁的财物是他们的坚城；在他们的想象中，有如高墙。

孩子们，你们要保守自己远离偶像。

耶和华啊！求你用手救我脱离世人，脱离那些只在今生有分的世人。求你用你为他们储存的充满他们的肚腹，使他们的儿女都可以饱尝，他们还有剩余的留给他们的子孙。

他们倚靠财富，自夸多财。但他们没有一个能把他的兄弟赎回，或把他的赎价交给神，

我的孩子们，为了你们我再受生产的痛苦，直到基督在你们里面成形。

我若以黄金为我所信靠的，又对精金说：‘你是我所靠赖的’；我若因为财物丰裕，或因为我多获财利而欢喜；

他的门徒中，有许多人听了，就说：“这话很难，谁能接受呢？”
