那王必与许多人缔结一七之久的盟约。一七之半，他必终止祭牲和供物，并且设立带来毁灭的可憎之物，直到所定的结局临到这恶者。”

他的军队必亵渎圣地，亵渎那堡垒，废除日常献的祭，设立带来毁灭的可憎之物。

这里藏有玄机，聪明的人可以计算那怪兽的代号，因为那是一个人的代号，是“六百六十六”。

敌人伸手夺去她的一切珍宝。她目睹外族人闯入圣殿——那是耶和华禁止他们进入的地方。

弟兄姊妹，你们的思想不要像小孩子，要长大成熟，但在罪恶的事上要像婴孩。

“你们看见耶路撒冷被重兵包围时，就知道它被毁灭的日子快到了。那时，住在犹太地区的人要赶快逃到山上去，住在城里的人要跑到城外，住在乡村的人不要进城，因为那是报应的日子，要应验圣经的全部记载。那时，孕妇和哺育婴儿的母亲们可就遭殃了！因为将有大灾难降在这地方，烈怒要临到这些人民。他们要死在刀剑之下，要被掳到外国去。耶路撒冷要被外族人蹂躏，直到外族人肆虐的日期满了为止。

接着，我听见一位圣者在说话，另一位圣者问他：“异象中出现的有关日常所献的祭，毁灭性的反叛和践踏圣所及天军的事要持续多久呢？”

“‘因此，主耶和华说，以色列人中身心未受割礼的外族人不可进入我的圣所。

腓利跑上前，听见太监在诵读以赛亚先知的书，就问：“你明白所读的经文吗？”他说：“没有人为我解释，我怎能明白呢？”他就请腓利上车和他一起坐。

那位宣读这预言的人和那些听见并遵守其中内容的人有福了，因为日期近了。

你们明白这些事了吗？”他们回答说：“我们明白了。”

“当你们看见但以理先知所说的‘那带来毁灭的可憎之物’站立在圣地的时候（读者须会意），住在犹太地区的人要赶快逃到山上去，在屋顶上的人不要下来进屋收拾行李，在田间工作的人也不要回家取外衣。那时，孕妇和哺育婴儿的母亲们可就遭殃了！你们要祈求上帝，不要让你们在冬天或安息日逃难。因为那时世上将有空前绝后的大灾难。如果不缩短灾期，恐怕没有人能活命。但为了选民的缘故，灾期必被缩短。“那时，如果有人对你们说，‘看啊！基督在这里’，或说，‘基督在那里’，你们不要相信。因为假基督和假先知将出现，行很大的神迹奇事来迷惑人，如果可能，甚至要迷惑上帝拣选的子民。你们要记住，我已经预先告诉你们了。“因此，如果有人对你们说，‘看啊！基督在旷野’，你们不要出去；或者说，‘看啊！基督在屋里’，你们也不要相信。人子降临时的情形就像闪电从东方发出一直照到西方。尸体在哪里，秃鹰就会聚集在哪里。

就连没有生命的箫和琴，如果发出的声音杂乱无章，谁能知道所吹所弹的是什么曲子呢？如果号声不清楚，谁会预备打仗呢？
