Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him,“ Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

And yet Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they* woke Him and* said to Him,“ Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

你們要把一切憂慮卸給神，因為他顧念你們。

因為我們的大祭司並不是不能同情我們的軟弱，他像我們一樣，也曾在各方面受過試探，只是他沒有犯罪。

耶和華啊！對這些事你還忍得住嗎？你仍然緘默不言，使我們受苦到極點嗎？

你若殷勤尋求神，向全能者懇求；你若又潔淨又正直，他就必為你奮起，復興你公義的居所。

主要永遠丟棄我，不再施恩嗎？他的慈愛永遠消失，他的應許永久廢去嗎？神忘記施恩，因忿怒而止住他的憐憫嗎？（細拉）因此我說：“這是我的憂傷：至高者的右手已經改變了（“至高者的右手已經改變了”或譯：“但我要追念至高者顯出右手的年代”）！”

到了中午，以利亞嘲笑他們，說：“大聲呼求吧，因為他是神，也許他正在默想，或事務繁忙，或正在旅行，或正在睡覺，你們要把他叫醒。”他們就大聲呼求，按著他們的規矩，用刀和槍刺自己，直到身體流血。中午過後，他們繼續狂呼亂叫，直到獻晚祭的時候；可是仍沒有聲音，沒有回應，也沒有理睬他們的。

因為耶和華召喚你，如同召喚被離棄、心靈憂傷的妻子，就是幼年時所娶卻被棄絕的妻子；這是你的神說的。我只是暫時離棄你，卻以極大的憐憫把你招聚回來。在怒氣漲溢的時候，我暫時向你掩面，卻要以永遠的慈愛憐憫你；這是耶和華你的救贖主說的。

耶和華啊！你為甚麼遠遠地站著？在患難的時候，你為甚麼隱藏起來呢？惡人驕橫地追逼困苦人，願惡人陷入自己所設的陰謀中。

他們走來把他叫醒，說：“主啊！救命啊！我們沒命了！”

雅各啊！你為甚麼這樣說；以色列啊！你為甚麼埋怨說：“我的道路向耶和華隱藏，我的案件被我的神忽略了”？你不知道嗎？你沒有聽過嗎？永在的神、耶和華、地極的創造主既不疲乏，也不困倦；他的知識無法測度。

但錫安說：“耶和華離棄了我，我的主忘記了我。”婦人怎能忘記她吃奶的嬰孩，不憐憫她親生的兒子呢？即使她們可能忘記，我也不會忘記你。看哪！我已經把你刻在我的掌上；你的城牆常常在我面前。

求你從天上垂顧，從你聖潔、榮耀的居所觀看。你的熱心和你的大能在哪裡呢？你愛心的同情和憐憫向我止住了。

耶和華的膀臂啊，醒來吧！醒來吧！穿上能力吧！像古時的日子，像上古的世代一樣醒來吧！從前砍碎了拉哈伯，刺透了海龍的，不是你嗎？使海，就是大淵的水乾涸，使海的深處變為蒙救贖的人經過之路的，不是你嗎？

主啊！求你醒來，為甚麼還睡著呢？求你起來，不要永遠棄絕我們。你為甚麼掩面，忘記了我們的苦難和壓迫呢？

所以，他必須在各方面和他的弟兄們相同，為了要在神的事上，成為仁慈忠信的大祭司，好為人民贖罪。

我的神！我的神！你為甚麼離棄我？為甚麼遠離不救我，不聽我呻吟的話呢？我的神啊！我日間呼求，你不應允；在晚上我還是不停止。

門徒來叫醒耶穌，說：“主啊！主啊！我們沒命了！”他醒過來，斥責風浪，風浪就止息、平靜了。

在那裡有雅各井。耶穌因為旅途疲倦了，就坐在井旁；那時大約正午。

甚至我哀求呼救的時候，他也掩耳不聽我的禱告。
