It will pay for the holy bread that is placed on the table in the temple. It will pay for the regular grain offerings and burnt offerings. It will pay for the offerings on the Sabbath days. It will pay for the offerings at the New Moon feasts and at the appointed feasts. It will pay for the holy offerings. It will be used for sin offerings to pay for the sins of Israel. It will also pay for everything else that needs to be done at the house of our God.

耶和華對摩西說：「你告訴以色列人，要在規定的時間獻上蒙我悅納的馨香火祭，作為我的食物。以下是他們要獻給耶和華的火祭。「每天兩隻毫無殘疾、一歲的公羊羔作燔祭，早晨和傍晚各獻一隻，同時獻上素祭——一公斤細麵粉調上一升油。這是在西奈山上規定的日常燔祭，是獻給耶和華的馨香火祭。與每隻羊羔一同獻上的還有一升酒，要將酒灑在聖所作為獻給耶和華的奠祭。傍晚獻羊羔時，也要像早上一樣同時獻上素祭和奠祭，作蒙耶和華悅納的馨香火祭。「安息日，要獻兩隻毫無殘疾、一歲的公羊羔，同時獻上奠祭以及兩公斤調油的細麵粉作素祭。這是在日常燔祭和奠祭以外安息日所獻的燔祭。「在朔日，要給耶和華獻燔祭——兩頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和七隻一歲的公羊羔，都要毫無殘疾。同時要獻上調了油的細麵粉作素祭，每頭公牛需獻三公斤素祭，每隻公綿羊需獻兩公斤素祭，每隻公羊羔需獻一公斤素祭。這馨香的燔祭是獻給耶和華的火祭。獻燔祭時要同時獻上奠祭，每頭公牛需獻二升奠酒，每隻公綿羊需獻一點二升奠酒，每隻羊羔需獻一升奠酒。這是朔日要獻的燔祭，一年之中月月如此。除了日常的燔祭和奠祭以外，還要把一隻公山羊獻給耶和華作贖罪祭。「一月十四日是耶和華的逾越節，十五日開始節慶，你們要連續七天吃無酵餅。第一天要舉行聖會，不可做日常工作。你們要把毫無殘疾的兩頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和七隻一歲的公羊羔獻給耶和華作燔祭；同時要獻上調了油的細麵粉作素祭，每頭公牛需獻三公斤素祭，每隻公綿羊需獻兩公斤素祭，每隻公羊羔需獻一公斤素祭；同時還要獻一隻公山羊作贖罪祭，為你們贖罪。除了早晨獻的日常燔祭以外，要獻上這些祭物。接連七天，除了日常的燔祭和同獻的奠祭以外，還要照上面的規定給耶和華獻上馨香的火祭。第七天，你們要舉行聖會，不可做日常工作。「七七收穫節莊稼初熟之日，就是你們把新素祭獻給耶和華的日子，不可工作，要舉行聖會。你們要把兩頭公牛犢、一隻公綿羊和七隻一歲的公羊羔獻給耶和華作馨香的燔祭。同時要獻上調了油的細麵粉作素祭，每頭公牛需獻三公斤素祭，每隻公綿羊需獻兩公斤素祭，每隻公羊羔需獻一公斤素祭。

「你要用細麵粉烤十二個餅，每個餅用兩公斤細麵粉。你要把餅擺成兩行放在耶和華面前的純金桌子上，每行六個，

便召集祭司和利未人，對他們說：「你們到猶大各城去向所有以色列人徵收銀子，用來作每年整修你們上帝殿的費用。你們要立刻辦理這事。」可是，利未人沒有立刻辦理。王就召來耶何耶大大祭司，問他：「你為什麼不吩咐利未人到耶路撒冷和猶大去收稅呢？這稅是耶和華的僕人摩西和以色列的會眾定的，以備聖幕之用。」因為惡婦亞她利雅的爪牙曾闖入耶和華上帝的殿，拿殿裡的聖物去供奉巴力。於是，王下令造一個箱子，放在耶和華殿的門外，通告猶大和耶路撒冷的人民要將上帝的僕人摩西在曠野為以色列人定的稅帶來獻給耶和華。全體首領和民眾都高高興興地把銀子帶來投進箱子裡，直到箱子滿了。利未人見箱子滿了，就抬到王的官員那裡。王的書記和大祭司的屬下會把箱子倒空，然後把箱子放回原處。日復一日，他們收了很多銀子。王與耶何耶大把銀子交給耶和華殿裡的辦事人員，他們就雇用石匠、木匠、鐵匠和銅匠來整修耶和華的殿。工人辛勤整修，工程進展順利，上帝的殿恢復了原貌，而且非常堅固。完工後，他們把剩餘的銀子交給王與耶何耶大，這些銀子被用來製造耶和華殿裡的器具：供奉和獻祭用的器皿、碟子和其他金銀器皿。耶何耶大在世之日，民眾常在耶和華的殿裡獻燔祭。

祭司都要天天站著供職，一次次地獻上同樣的祭物，只是這些祭物根本不能除罪。
