It will pay for the holy bread that is placed on the table in the temple. It will pay for the regular grain offerings and burnt offerings. It will pay for the offerings on the Sabbath days. It will pay for the offerings at the New Moon feasts and at the appointed feasts. It will pay for the holy offerings. It will be used for sin offerings to pay for the sins of Israel. It will also pay for everything else that needs to be done at the house of our God.

永恆主告訴摩西說：『你要吩咐以色列人說：「你們要小心、將奉給我的供物、就是奉給我的食物、做怡神之香氣獻與我之火祭、在制定節期上獻與我。」你要對他們說：你們所要獻與永恆主的火祭是這樣：完全沒有殘疾、一歲以下的公綿羊羔、每天兩隻、作為不斷獻的燔祭。其一隻公綿羊羔、你要在早晨獻上，其另一隻公綿羊羔、你要在傍晚時分獻上；也獻一伊法十分之一的細麵、用搗成的油一欣的四分之一調和的、作為素祭。這是不斷獻的燔祭、在西乃山所制定、做怡神之香氣獻與永恆主的火祭的。和其一隻公綿羊羔同獻的奠祭酒、要一欣的四分之一；你要在聖所、將醇酒奠與永恆主為奠祭。其另一隻公綿羊羔、你要在傍晚時分獻上，按早晨的素祭和跟羊羔同獻的奠祭禮一樣辦理，做怡神香氣之火祭獻與永恆主。『在安息日你要獻上公綿羊羔兩隻、完全沒有殘疾、一歲以內的，也獻細麵一伊法的十分之二、用油調和做素祭、和跟羊羔同獻的奠祭。這是每安息日獻的燔祭；那不斷獻的燔祭、和跟燔祭同獻的奠祭、是在外的。『在你們的月初一、你們要把燔祭獻與永恆主：就是牛兩隻、要小公牛、公綿羊一隻、公綿羊羔一歲以內的七隻、要完全沒有殘疾的。配合每一隻牛、你們要獻細麵、一伊法的十分之三、用油調和做素祭；配合那一隻公綿羊、也要獻細麵、一伊法的十分之二、用油調和做素祭；配合每一隻公綿羊羔呢、也要獻細麵、一伊法的十分之一、用油調和做素祭：做燔祭、怡神之香氣獻與永恆主的火祭。和以上這些祭牲同獻的奠祭、每隻公牛要奠酒半欣，每隻公綿羊要奠酒一欣的三分之一，每隻公綿羊羔要奠酒一欣的四分之一：這是月月獻的燔祭，一年之中每月都要如此的。也要將多毛公山羊一隻做解罪祭、獻與永恆主，是要在不斷獻的燔祭和跟燔祭同獻的奠祭以外獻上的。『正月十四日、是向永恆主守的逾越節。這月十五日是節期；要喫無酵餅七天。頭一天要有聖聚會；甚麼勞碌的工都不可作，只要獻火祭為燔祭給永恆主：就是牛兩隻、要小公牛、公綿羊一隻、公綿羊羔一歲以內的七隻，都要你們認為完全沒有殘疾的。和以上這些祭牲同獻的素祭、是用油調和的細麵：配合一隻公牛、要獻一伊法的十分之三；配合一隻公綿羊、要獻一伊法的十分之二；配合那七隻公綿羊羔、每隻要獻一伊法的十分之一；也獻一隻多毛公山羊做解罪祭、為你們除罪。你們要在早晨的燔祭、就是不斷獻的燔祭、以外、把這些祭物獻上。一連七日、每日都要照這例把火祭的食物、就是怡神之香氣獻與永恆主，是在不斷獻的燔祭和跟燔祭同獻的奠祭以外獻上的。第七天你們要有聖聚會；甚麼勞碌的工都不可作。『在你們的七七節上、當獻首熟之物那一天、你們將新素祭獻與永恆主的時候、要有聖聚會；甚麼勞碌的工都不可作，只要將燔祭作為怡神之香氣獻與永恆主：就是牛兩隻、要小公牛、公綿羊一隻、公綿羊羔七隻、要一歲以內的。和以上這些祭牲同獻的素祭、是用油調和的細麵：配合一隻公牛、要獻一伊法的十分之三；配合一隻公綿羊、要獻一伊法的十分之二；配合那七隻公綿羊羔、每隻要獻一伊法的十分之一；

『你要取細麵、烤成十二個哈拉餅，每一個哈拉餅要一伊法的十分之二。你要把餅排成兩行；每行六個，在永恆主面前的淨金桌子上。

便集合了眾祭司和利未人，對他們說：『你們要出去、到猶大各城，從猶大眾人收集銀子，可以年年修理你們的上帝的殿；你們要迅速辦理這事。』只是利未人都不迅速地辦理。於是王把祭司長耶何耶大召了來，對他說：『你為甚麼不勅令利未人照永恆主僕人摩西為法櫃的會棚對以色列大眾所徵定的捐項從猶大和耶路撒冷帶來作修殿的費用呢？』這是因為那惡婦人亞他利雅的兒子們曾經闖進上帝的殿，將永恆主殿中分別為聖之物拿去供奉巴力。於是王吩咐一聲，人就作了一個櫃，放在永恆主的殿門外。王又在猶大和耶路撒冷發出布告，叫人將上帝僕人摩西在曠野吩咐以色列人徵獻的捐項帶來、奉給永恆主。眾首領和眾民都歡歡喜喜地帶來，投在櫃中，直到滿滿。負責人每逢把櫃子抬到王的辦公室由利未人經手檢點，他們若見銀子多了，王的祕書和祭司長的委員、總來，將櫃倒光，整理整理，放回原處：天天都這樣作，收集了銀子很多。王和耶何耶大將銀子交給永恆主殿裏辦事的人，辦事人就雇了鑿石人和匠人來重新修造永恆主的殿，也雇了鐵匠銅匠來修理永恆主的殿。作工的人一直地作工，修復的工作在他們手下順序地進行；他們將上帝的殿重立其舊觀，並使它很堅固。既作完了，他們就把剩下的銀子送到王和耶何耶大面前；銀子就用來製造永恆主殿裏的器皿、供奉和獻祭的器皿、碟子、金銀的器皿。儘耶何耶大在世的日子、眾人都不斷在永恆主殿裏獻上燔祭。

再者，所有的祭司、都是天天站着、作事奉的工，屢次供獻同樣的祭物、永不能把罪除掉的祭物。
