You gave your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold your manna from their mouths, and you gave them water for their thirst.

我要在那裡降臨，對你說話，把降在你身上的靈也賜給他們，讓他們為你分擔管理民眾的責任，免得你獨自承擔。

後來，他們想起古時候，想起了摩西和他的百姓，便問，帶領百姓及其牧者摩西從海裡出來的那位在哪裡？將自己的聖靈降在他們中間的那位在哪裡？用榮耀的臂膀扶持摩西，在他們面前把海水分開，使自己威名永存的那位在哪裡？帶領他們經過大海，猶如馬行平川不會失腳的那位在哪裡？耶和華的靈使他們得到安歇，猶如牲畜下到山谷。耶和華啊，你就是這樣引領你的子民，以樹立自己榮耀的名。

你多年來容忍他們，差遣你的靈藉著你的眾先知警告他們，但他們依然不肯聽從，於是你把他們交在列邦手中。

光明總是結出良善、公義和真理的果子。

以色列人見了，不知道是何物，便彼此議論說：「這是什麼？」摩西對他們說：「這就是耶和華給你們的食物。

我必在何烈的磐石那裡等候你們，你用杖擊打磐石，磐石必流出水來給眾人喝。」摩西便當著以色列長老的面這樣做了。

但聖靈所結的果子是仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、溫柔、節制。沒有律法會禁止這些事。

他們不再饑渴，也不再被熱風和烈日灼傷，因為憐憫他們的那位必引導他們，領他們到泉水邊。

節期最後一天，也是整個節期的高潮，耶穌站起來高聲說：「人若渴了，可以到我這裡來喝。正如聖經所言，信我的人，『從他裡面要流出活水的江河來』。」耶穌這話是指信祂的人要得到聖靈，但當時聖靈還沒有降臨，因為耶穌還沒有得到榮耀。

求你教導我遵行你的旨意，因為你是我的上帝，願你良善的靈引導我走平坦的路。

因為預言絕非出於人的意思，都是人受了聖靈的感動，講出上帝的信息。

但是喝了我所賜的活水，永遠不會再渴。我所賜的水要在他裡面成為生命的泉源，湧流不息，直到永生。」

他們吃了當地出產後的第二天，嗎哪便不再降下，以色列人再沒有嗎哪吃了。那一年他們開始吃迦南的出產。

祂使磐石裂開、湧出水來，在乾旱之地奔流成河。

耶穌回答說：「要是你知道上帝的恩賜，又知道向你要水喝的是誰，你早就求祂了，祂也早就把活水給你了。」

以色列百姓就在曠野吃了四十年的嗎哪，直到他們到達有人煙的迦南為止。

耶和華帶領他們經過沙漠，他們也不會口渴。為了他們，祂使水從磐石中流出，祂使磐石裂開、湧出水來。

弟兄姊妹，我藉著我們主耶穌基督和聖靈所賜的愛心，懇求你們與我一同竭力禱告，為我祈求上帝，

耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把降在摩西身上的靈也賜給七十位長老。靈一降在他們身上，他們就說起預言來，但只說了這一次。七十位長老中的伊利達和米達沒有到會幕去，但耶和華的靈也降在他們身上，他們就在營中說起預言來。有一個青年跑去稟告摩西說：「伊利達和米達正在營中說預言。」摩西揀選的助手——嫩的兒子約書亞就說：「我主摩西，請你禁止他們。」摩西說：「你是怕我的權威受影響嗎？願耶和華的子民都成為先知！願耶和華把祂的靈降在他們身上！」

「貧窮困苦的人找不到水喝，他們口乾舌燥。但我耶和華必應允他們的呼求，我——以色列的上帝不會撇棄他們。我要使光禿的山嶺上江河奔流，山谷中泉水湧流；我要使沙漠變成水塘，使乾地冒出泉水。
