我立刻就在靈裡了，看哪，有一個寶座安放在天上，有一位坐在寶座上。坐著的那一位，看起來彷彿碧玉和紅寶石；又有一道彩虹圍著寶座，看起來彷彿綠寶石。座位的周圍，還有二十四個座位；在那些寶座上，坐著二十四位長老，身穿白衣，頭戴金冠冕；從寶座中發出閃電、聲音和雷鳴；在寶座前，有七支燃燒著的火把，就是神的七個靈；寶座前面，好像玻璃海，彷彿水晶；在寶座中間和寶座周圍，有四個活物，遍體前後布滿眼睛。第一個活物彷彿獅子，第二個活物彷彿牛犢，第三個活物有像人一樣的臉，第四個活物彷彿飛翔的鷹。那四個活物，各個都有六個翅膀，遍體內外都布滿了眼睛。他們日夜不停地說：「聖哉！聖哉！聖哉！主、神、全能者，昔在、今在、將要來臨的那一位！」每當四個活物把榮耀、尊貴和感謝歸給坐在寶座上、活到永永遠遠的那一位時，二十四位長老就俯伏在坐寶座的那一位面前，敬拜活到永永遠遠的那一位，並且把自己的冠冕放在寶座前，說：「我們的主、我們的神哪，你配接受榮耀、尊貴和權能，因為你創造了萬有；萬有是因著你的旨意而存在、被創造的。」

你們當向耶和華唱新歌，因為他行了奇妙的事，他的右手和聖潔的膀臂帶來了拯救。

你們當向耶和華唱新歌，全地啊，你們當向耶和華歌唱！

神哪，我要向你唱新歌，用十弦的里拉琴歌頌你！

「凡是有耳的，就應當聽聖靈向各教會所說的話！那得勝的，我將要賜給他那隱藏的嗎哪。我還要賜給他一塊白石頭，石頭上有一個寫好的新名字，除了那領受的人以外，沒有人認識這名字。

你們當向他唱新歌，在歡呼中美妙地彈奏！

他在我口中賜下新歌，就是對我們神的讚美；許多人看見就心存敬畏，並要依靠耶和華。

他們唱著神的奴僕摩西之歌和羔羊之歌，說：「主、神、全能者啊，你的作為又偉大又奇妙！列國之王啊，你的道路又公義又真實！

那時候，耶穌說：「父啊，天地的主，我讚美你，因為你把這些事向有智慧的和有學問的人隱藏起來，而向小孩子們顯明出來。是的，父啊！因為這正是你的美意。我父把一切都交給了我。除了父，沒有人認識子；除了子和子所願意啟示的人，也沒有人認識父。

耶和華與敬畏他的人親密，使他們明白他的約。

原來，十字架的福音對那些正在滅亡的人來說，是愚拙的；但是對我們這些正在被拯救的人來說，卻是神的大能。

不過一個屬血氣的人不接受屬神的靈的這些事，因為對他來說，這些是愚拙的；他也不能明白，因為這些事要用屬靈的方式才能洞察。
