另有一位第三位天使跟着他們，大聲地說：『人若拜獸和獸的像，受印記在額上或手上，

又有第三使者從之、大聲曰、如有拜獸與其像、及受印誌於額或於手者、

又一天使從其後、大聲曰、如有拜獸及獸像、於顙於手、受其印誌者、

又有第三天使隨其後、大聲曰、若有拜獸及獸像、於額或於手受其印誌者、

更有一天神隨其後、大聲而言曰：「如有拜獸及獸像、而受印誌於額或手者。

隨後，我看見另一位天使在空中飛翔；他帶著永恆的福音要傳給住在地上的人，傳給各國家、各支派、各語言群體、各民族。他大聲說：「你們當敬畏神，把榮耀歸給他，因為他審判的時候到了。你們當敬拜造了天、地、海和眾水泉源的那一位。」另一位天使，就是第二位天使跟著說：「倒塌了！大巴比倫倒塌了！她給萬國喝了她淫亂憤怒的酒。」

折磨他們時的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠。那些膜拜獸和獸像的，以及任何接受牠名字印記的，都將日夜得不到安息。

這獸的七個頭中有一個好像受了致命傷，可是這致命傷得了痊癒。全地的人都感到驚奇，跟隨了這獸。他們膜拜龍，因為牠把權柄交給了獸。他們也膜拜獸，說：「誰能與這獸相比呢？誰能與牠交戰呢？」那獸被賜予了一張說大話和褻瀆話的口；牠又被賜予了權柄，可以任意行事四十二個月。牠就開口向神說褻瀆的話，褻瀆了他的名和他的居所，褻瀆了那些居住在天上的。

接著，我看見另一隻獸從地裡上來。牠有兩隻角彷彿羊羔，說話卻像龍。牠在第一隻獸的面前，施行第一隻獸的一切權柄，強迫大地和住在地上的人來膜拜第一隻獸，就是致命傷得了痊癒的那獸。牠又行大奇蹟，甚至在眾人面前，使火從天降到地上。藉著那些奇蹟，就是牠被准許在第一隻獸面前所行的奇蹟，牠就迷惑了住在地上的人，告訴住在地上的人，要為那受刀傷卻活過來的獸，造一個像。牠又被准許把氣息給那獸像，甚至使那獸像能說話，又使所有不膜拜那獸像的人都被殺死。牠還強迫所有的人，無論卑微的或尊貴的、富有的或貧窮的、自由的或為奴的，都在右手或額上接受印記；這樣，除了有這印記的人，誰都不可以買或賣，這印記就是獸的名字或牠名字的數目。
