我必使你永远荒凉，你的城市必没有人居住；你们就知道我是耶和华。

I will make you desolate forever; your towns will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

恶以扫。我使以扫的山地荒凉，把他的产业给了旷野的豺狼。”如果以东说：“我们虽然遭破坏，但仍要把废墟重建起来。”万军之耶和华这样说：“他们只管建造，我却要拆毁。人要称他们为罪恶的境地，为耶和华永远恼怒的子民。”

我的眼必不顾惜你，我也不怜恤你，我却要按着你的行为，照着你中间可憎的事报应你，你们就知道我是耶和华。’

因为我曾指着自己起誓，波斯拉必成为令人惊骇、被人羞辱和咒诅的对象；它必变成荒野，它一切的城镇都必永远变成荒场。”这是耶和华的宣告。

因此，万军之耶和华以色列的神说：“我指着我的永生起誓：摩押人必要像所多玛，亚扪人必定像蛾摩拉，成为刺草和盐坑之所，永远荒凉之地。我余下的子民必掳掠他们，我国中所余的要得着他们为业。”

“以东必成为令人惊骇的地方；每一个经过那里的，都必因这地所遭受的一切创伤而惊骇，并且嗤笑它。以东必倾覆，像所多玛、蛾摩拉，和它们的城镇一样（这是耶和华说的），必没有人住在那里，也必没有人在那里寄居。

我必使人和牲畜都在你们上面增多；他们必繁衍增多；我必使你们有人居住，像从前一样，并要使你们比先前更蒙福。你们就知道我是耶和华。
